All India Rabta-e-Masjid has proposed to name the mosque as “Mohammed Bin Abdullah Masjid”, after the Prophet.
The Dhannipur village is located in Ayodhya district.
The decision was taken in the presence of around 1,000 clerics of various Muslim sects in Mumbai on Thursday
The mosque will be built just 22 km away from Ram Janmbhoomi premises.
"Pune architect Imran Sheikh will oversee its construction,” said Zufar Farooqui, chairman of the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board
The mosque will be traditional in it's architecture and will have a capacity of 5000 Namazis at a time.
