Gopichand Thotakura is all set to become the first Indian to go to space as a tourist.

Gopichand Thotakura has been selected as the crew member for Blue Origin's New Shepard-25 (NS-25) mission.

Thotakura will travel beyond Earth's atmosphere along with five others.

Gopichand Thotakura has joined a prestigious list of 31 candidates who have flown beyond the Karman Line, the boundary between the Earth's atmosphere and outer space.

Thotakura's passion for flying led him to learn to pilot an aircraft before mastering the art of driving, challenging conventional norms.

To pursue his passion, he graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science.
