The rise of Irfan Rajak, Chairman and Managing Director of Prestige Estates Projects, who is among India's richest men, is inspiring, especially for the lows he battled along his journey.

Born into a business family, Razak’s father, Razak Sattar, founded the Prestige Group in 1950 with a small clothing and tailoring shop in Bengaluru.

Under Razak’s leadership, Prestige Estates Projects has become a leading brand in the Indian real estate sector.  With numerous ventures in the residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors, the company has completed 285 projects and has 54 projects underway.

Irfan Razak and his family's total wealth crossed $1 billion as shares of Prestige Estates Projects surged 60%. The company has established itself as the largest listed property firm in India. Only DLF is above them.  Famous clients of Prestige properties include global brands such as Apple, Caterpillar, Armani, and Louis Vuitton.

After selling his second real estate project in Bengaluru in 1990, he expressed his desire to retire, but Razak’s passion for entrepreneurship led him to transform Prestige Estates Projects into a leader in the real estate industry.

Currently, Prestige Estates Projects is expanding beyond Bangalore to cities like Chennai, Kochi, Calicut, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. The company aims to increase its annual sales by targeting middle-class buyers.
