Amrit Hussain, the renowned tabla player and music director from Jaipur, Rajasthan, who along with his brothers Tipu Khan and Sanjay Khan, has introduced the Indian and particularly Rajasthani culture and music to thousands of children in France has taught Tabla to students in France for six months.
Amrit was invited by the government of France to the twin cities of Saint-Avrat and Aurelio to teach table playing to the students.
Amrit Hussain introduced the French music students to the Rajasthani folk and fusion music. He taught them to play the traditional numbers like Kesariya Balam.., Krishna, and Ram Bhajans, traditional songs of glory of India and Rajasthan.
These were an instant hit with the students and they liked it immensely.
His students performed in a theater to a packed hall and Amrit and the students won the applause of the audience. It was the first time in the history of Santavartan City that such a big musical programme was conducted.
Amrit said, “My hard work paid off and the program was very successful. Whenever I went to school to teach music to children, the children welcomed me with folded hands, saying Namaste and Ram Ram, and I felt very proud.”

At the beginning of the program, the city mayor and culture minister welcomed Amrit Hussain. The world's renowned singer and pride of Rajasthan, Sanjay Khan was singing along with him. Amrit has performed in more than 80 countries in 21 years and has introduced Indian music to more than 1 lakh children.
Amrit Hussain is making India and Rajasthan famous all over the world through his music. Today he is counted among the highest-class artists of India.
Even before this, brothers – Amrit Hussain, Sanjay Khan, and Tipu Khan - have made their mark in foreign countries. People from all over the country have danced to the tunes of musician brothers Amrit Hussain, Sanjay Khan, and Tipu Khan in various music festivals.
The brothers have been representing India and are rated very high in Rajasthan state and Europe. They are making Rajasthan famous all over the world with their music.
Amrit, Sanjay, and Tipu, residents of Banipark, Jaipur, are on a tour of France these days. Even during the Corona pandemic, this musical trio relieved people's stress through their performances in churches and old-age homes.
Amrit Hussain says that Indian culture and Indian music will also be taught to school children through programs organized by the National Education Department of France.
The brothers hail from a family of musicians from seven generations
Amrit Hussain says that he has inherited music as a legacy. “Our father Ustad Rafiq Mohammad Sahab and grandfather Ustad Rasool Khan Sahab gave us music training.”

Sanjay Khan says that every musical instrument has a soul. “There is a soul. If an artiste wants to be a good artiste then he should respect the instrument.” Tipu says that while living abroad, he is weaving the fabric of the music of East and West through his music.
