Indian classical singer Pandit Rajan Mishra today passed away in a Delhi hospital. He was suffering from Covid-19 and a heart ailment.

Rajan Mishra was 70.

He was admitted in a Delhi Hospital where he breathed his last on Sunday evening. In the evening his fans were seeking help from everyone for a hospital bed with a ventilator. Finally he was admitted into Ganga Ram Hospital where he breathed his last.

Recipient of Padma Vibhushan for his contribution in the field of art, Rajan Mishra paired with his brother Sajan Mishra to form the musical team of Rajan-Sajan Mishra.

They had travelled all over the world to showcase Indian classical music to the global audience.

Rajan Mishra belonged to Banaras gharana and was an exponent of Khayal genre of the Indian classical music.
