The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has declared the Kakatiya Rudreshwara Ramappa temple in Telangana a World Heritage Site.
This was announced by UNESCO today through the official Twitter handle.

This temple is also known as Ramlan Geshwar Temple. It was built during the reign of Kakatiya ruler Ganpati Deva. The proposal to add the centuries-old temple to the World Heritage List was submitted to UNESCO on September 10, 2010. This temple has finally made it to the list.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness over the declaration of Kakatiya Rampa Temple as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
He also urged the people to visit the premises of this magnificent temple and experience its majesty.
