Khusro Foundation announces the National Level Essay Competition, 2023.

We have named this contest in honor of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, a celebrated Indian Muslim scientist, and former President of India, who is recognized for his remarkable contributions to the fields of science and technology, as well as his unwavering dedication to the nation. Dr. Kalam embodied the synthesis of deep religious faith and scientific spirit, demonstrating that religion and science can coexist harmoniously. His life and teachings promote a message of unity, patriotism, and passion for knowledge, thereby making him an ideal symbol for this contest.

Dr. Kalam’s life journey has been a lighthouse of inspiration for the youth of this nation. His unyielding determination, relentless pursuit of knowledge and unwavering commitment to excellence serve as a source of motivation for aspiring minds. His legacy continues to inspire generations, urging them to turn their aspirations into reality. Through his noble example, we hope to inspire our participants to engage in thoughtful discourse on various societal issues encouraging them to strive for greatness, embrace challenges and contribute meaningfully to society and our great nation.

We are looking for thought-provoking essays on the topic given below. The competition is open to all aspirational youth of the country.

This is your chance to project your thoughts, get it recognition and pave the way to become thought leaders of tomorrow.

Eligibility:

 (i) Indian National

 (ii) Age 14 to 18 years

 (iii) High aspirations for future.

Essay Topic:

“How do I see my role in India of my dreams?”

Language:

The essay can be written in Hindi, Urdu, English, Assamese or Marathi.

Submission Guidelines:

•Word Limit: 1500-2000 words.

•Essays must be the original work of the participants.

•The file name should be the participant's full name and topic chosen.

•Along with the essay, writers should include an ‘About me’ mentioning writers profile in not more than 500 words.

•Writers must include address, phone number and email in the submission.

Evaluation Criteria:          

•Clarity of expression, flow, and coherence.

•Understanding and interpretation of the topic.

•Use of research and factual accuracy.

•Creativity and originality.

•Language proficiency and grammatical accuracy.

Prize:

The best essay will be awarded a cash prize of INR 30000 and a Golden Scroll of Honor.

The 2nd position will get INR 20000 and a Silver Scroll of Honor.

The 3rd position will get INR 10000 cash prize and Bronze Scroll of Honor.
