Newlyweds Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's celebrations of Ganeshotsav - the 10-day festival of Lord Ganesh who is believed to  remove all obstacles in the journey of the lives of his worshioppers - is winning hearts on the social media.

Sonakshi shared a video of her performing Ganpati Puja along with her Muslim husband Zaheer Iqbal. The caption of this video is catching everyone's attention. She wrote, "When spouses respect each other's feelings and beliefs, love grows more. Our first Ganeshotsav after marriage."

She wrote, "Respecting each other's feelings and participating in festivals despite being of different religions is the meaning of true religious harmony. Their action has set an example of tolerance and unity not only in Bollywood but in the entire society. Ganeshotsav is celebrated every year as a festival of brotherhood and harmony in the society and always inspires."

Sonakshi often tries to erase the boundaries of religion and encourage religious harmony through her posts.Ganeshotsav is a festival that is celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm across the country, especially in Maharashtra. Bollywood celebrities are no exception when it comes to celebrations of the festival.

However, Bollywoods actor who are born Muslims are shared the Ganeshotsav celebrations at their homes.

Ganesh Pandal was set up at superstar Shahrukh Khan’s house 'Mannat'. He posted pictures of the celebration on X and wished his fans on Twitter and Instagram.

Shahrukh Khan wrote, "Ganpati Bappa bless us all with health, love, happiness and lots of modaks. On this auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, may your entire family be blessed with happiness and prosperity."

Salman Khan and his family bring Ganpati to their home every year and celebrate this festival with great pomp. This time the Khan family welcomed Ganpati with enthusiasm.

On this occasion, Ganpati’s arrival was done with the sound of big drums. The family held celebrations for one and a half days, before ceremoniously immersiing it .

Despite being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, Hina Khan celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with joy even during these tough times.

She shared a glimpse of this special occasion for her fans on social media. Hina posted a photo of modaks on the x and gave a simple but emotional caption, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone.” Her enthusiasm and positivity has inspired fans.

Arpita Khan-Sharma is Salman Khan's sister. This year Salman Khan went to Arpita Khan's house to see Ganpati. Ganpati arrived at the house of Arpita and her husband Ayush Sharma and on this occasion Salman Khan's entire family was also present, which included Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Salman's father Salim Khan. Here Salman also participated in the aarti of Ganpati.

Arbaaz Khan's son Arhaan Khan, Sohail Khan's children Nirvaan and Yohan Khan also came to see Ganpati. Actors Varun Sharma, Lulia Vantur, and Auri, who has been seen in every Bollywood party since the Ambani family's wedding, also participated in Ganpati's Aarti.

Sara Ali Khan has a deep respect for Hindu gods and goddesses. She has undertaken pilgrimages to Kedarnath and Amarnath.

This year too, Ganpati has arrived at Sara's house. Sara has shared photos in which she is posing with beautiful idols of Ganpati on her Instagram account. Sharing these photos, Sara wrote, "Happy Ganesh Chaturthi ... May Bappa give us happiness and peace."

Many other Muslim celebrities of Bollywood have given the message of cultural unity by celebrating Ganeshotsav. They have shown through their actions that festivals are not just for a specific religion, but they are a means to bring everyone together.
