Senior actor of Bollywood Javed Khan Amrohi passed away on Tuesday. He breathed his last at the age of 74 in a hospital in Santa Cruz, Mumbai.
Javed has been suffering from chronic respiratory disease while he was on bed rest for the past one year. Both his lungs had almost failed.
Chandrakanta actor Akhilendra Mishra announced Javed's death on his Facebook handle. Later on the evening of February 14, he was laid to rest at Oshiwara Cemetery.

Javed Khan Amrohi started his acting career in theater in the 1970s and then moved on to films. He worked in a number of theatrical productions and over 150 films in his career life.

He made his film debut with film Jalte Badan (1973) and then continued to play supporting roles throughout in the 1970s and 1980s, appearing in many films including hits like Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Woh 7 Din, Tridev and Aashiqui.
Amrohi was best known for his roles in the Academy Award-nominated film Lagaan, Andaz Apna Apna, and Chak De! India.
Javed Khan was a familiar face in the world of TV and cinema. He also played a supporting role in the Academy Award nominated film Lagaan. Apart from this, he was highly appreciated for many films including Chak De India, Anaz Apna Apna.
He had acted in more than 150 and his most memorable role in a television serial was in Mirza Ghalib.
He was also a faculty member at the Institute of Media Arts.
