Mother of Ghulam, who was killed by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force on Thursday in Jhansi has refused to accept his body. Ghulam was an associate of gangster Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad who too was killed in the encounter.
Not just refusing to take his body, Khusnuda, called the action by the state police force the right thing. She praised the UP-state police for taking strong action against criminals and gangsters. She said she will not receive the body and left it to her daughter-in-law, Ghulam’s wife, to decide what to do with it.

Asad and Ghulam were gunned down near the Paricha dam in Jhansi while they were traveling in a bike. According to the police, the duo had planned to free Atiq Ahmed who was being taken to Prayagraj for a hearing the case related to the murder of Umesh Pal, a key-witness to the murder of a BSP MLA in 2005.
According to the police Asad and Ghulam did not stop despite repeated warnings. Instead, they fired at the police party and died in retaliatory fire. They were taken to a hospital in different ambulances and were declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, Umesh Pal’s mother hailed the action taken by the UP STF and called it a tribute to her son. Both Asad and Ghulam were on the run ever since the daylight murder of Umesh Pal on a busy Prayagraj road in February.
