Surguja (Chhattisgarh)
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Tuesday that all the people of India are Hindus. Anyone who considers India as his motherland is a Hindu, irrespective of religion.
Addressing a public meeting at Ambikapur in Surjuga, Chhattisgarh, he said, irrespective of religion and faith all those who consider India as their motherland are Hindus.
“This is the truth and the Sangh has been saying it candidly. We have been together for hundreds of years,” Bhagwat said.
The best way to understand the Sangh, he said, is to join the RSS. He said one would know the reality and philosophy of the RSS only after becoming part of it or visiting a local office of the RSS.
He told people there is no fee for those visiting the local RSS branch.
He regretted that some people in India are speaking about differences, and therefore to beat them all Indians must be united. Everyone has different deities; some people do not believe in God – all are Indians.
We have been together since the Vedas were written. He said in all ages, petty-minded people squabbled.
He said “India is not the name of one kind of worship, nor one language; there are so many castes, tribes and yet India is one. Many rulers have come and gone but India has remained the same.
Speaking about his organization, Bhagwat likened RSS to the sky. He said Sangh has to be experienced by those wanting to know about it and it can not be known by just reading about it. He said Sangh is into gaining popularity or being in the news.
Bhagwat reiterated: “We all have the same ancestors; the same DNA for 40,000 years. Everyone should be firm in their way of worship and praying and not aim to change anyone’s style or faith.
A roadshow and public meeting were organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat attended the program as the chief guest.
