A Tweet by a would-be bride to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath about the non-existent road in her locality in Prayagraj (previously Allahabad) ended with a positive development.

The would-be bride Nakush Fatma was worried that her baarat (wedding procession) will face problems in approaching her home on the day of the wedding and also it would be a major embarrassment for her family.

Nukush Fatma is the resident of Abu Bakarpur under the Dhumanganj police station of Prayagraj. On November 30, eight days before her wedding, she posted on Twitter about the situation of the street leading to her house.

She wrote: "There has been no road work in my area for the past 15 years. Honourable Chief Minister, My wedding is on 7th December to which you are cordially invited to. Please get the road constructed in my locality so that you and my guests don't face any inconvenience."

According to media reports, Yogi took note of Nakush Fatma's problem, and the road leading to her house was relaid.

Nukush's uncle Jamal Afsal told the local media that the last time the road was built in Abu Bakarpur was in the year 2002. Now it was two days before his niece's wedding that it has been reconstructed.

The road was full of potholes and filth.

Afzal said that after the tweet just two days before the wedding, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Municipal Corporation made a road by cleaning the area. With this, there will be no problem with the coming of the guests.

He told that Nakush's marriage is going to be held in Lakhimpur Kheri and the procession will come to Prayagraj on Wednesday.

Afzal said that he had made untiring efforts to get the road repaired. There wasn't any department left whom he didn't contact.

He said that after the Chief Minister took cognizance of Nakush's tweet, the road was constructed by the Municipal Corporation in one day.
