A meeting of Maratha, Dalit leaders-representatives, and Muslim religious leaders was organized on Thursday at Antarwali Sarati of Ambad taluka on the call of Maratha movement leader Manoj Jarange to decide the upcoming strategy for the assembly elections.

Raja Ratna Ambedkar, Anandraj Ambedkar, religious leader of the Muslim community Sajjad Nomani, and Jarange attended this meeting.

Manoj Jarange said, "There is going to be a change of power in the state to give justice to the poor. For this, the unity of the Maratha, Muslim, and Dalit communities has been agreed upon. The alliance is ready. Who will be our candidates in the elections and from which constituencies will they contest, the final decision will be announced on November 3."

Marathas have been demanding reservations in jobs and it's a contentious issue for them in the elections.

Jarange further said, "Maratha, Dalit, and Muslim communities will come together and change the power. Besides, in the next two days, our organization will discuss with representatives of OBC, Warkari sect, Mahanubhava sect, Lingayat, Banjara etc. communities and sects.”

Jarange finally said, "I will not hold back in any situation. We are united not to change religion, but to change power. Through this, we will remove injustice and distress. Those who have come out to destroy us, we will do away with them."

If this equation works on the ground it could be a turning point in the politics of Maharashtra because, for the first time, Marathas and Muslims are seen coming together in Maharashtra.

Sajjad Nomani, one of the leading Muslim ulema of the country, who was also present in this important meeting, said, "Maharashtra is an important state of the country. It’s the financial capital of India. The state has a long history of love and brotherhood. The soldiers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj also included Muslims. The country has Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. “

He further said, "We all have to take India to the heights together. I am also a fakir and Jarange Patil is also a fakir. It is the confluence of two fakirs. May God make us stay together forever."

Anandraj Ambedkar said about this meeting that the discussion with Manoj Jarange has been done and we will work together in the elections. He said that today's meeting has given the Dalit community a big opportunity. Rajaratna Ambedkar also said, that due to the efforts of Jarange, the doors of assembly elections are being opened for the poor and common people. Where crowds gather to demand tickets from established parties, a larger crowd was seen in Jarange's village Antarwali Sarati. This is a big change.
