The Border Security Forces and Pakistan Rangers on Thursday exchanged sweets here at Attari-Wagah border on the occasion of Eid al-Adah.

After the initial exchange of greetings between the guards, the gates were opened and officers from both the sides cam forth for the customary exchange.

Indian news agency ANI took to twitter to post the video.

Muslim across the world celebrat Eid-al-Adha with great fervour.

The festival is observed to commemorate the spirit of sacrifice and devotion to the Almighty.

As per the tradition, Muslims perform sacrifice of the cattle a metaphor of following the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim who on when asked by Allah in his dream if he could lose the most loved one to him, was prepared to sacrifice even his son.
