Good sense prevailed following a communal flare up at the outskirts of Delhi in Gurugram. Elders of both the communities came together to resolve the dispute.
Some miscreants had roughed up a few people offering namaz inside Bhaudakalan Masjid in the industrial city of Gurugram . Apparently due to a land dispute and repairs being undertaken in the mosque complex.
The police acted swiftly into the complaint of the Muslim community against the miscreants. A case had been registered in the Bilaspur police station. The local police also ensured that tension would not flare up. Friday prayers went off peacefully due to elaborate security arrangements.
More interestingly the disputed was amicably resolved by the intervention of elders and prominent people of both the communities, including the village head and the area counsellor. After arriving at a settlement people from both the communities hugged each other. This initiative has set an example.
In the panchayat, sarpanch of the village Gopli, the councilor of the area Sushil Chauhan, the head of the 52-village panchayat Pappu Singh, Shahzad Khan, Nazar Mohammad, Chand Mohammad, Shakeel Khan, Jaggi Khan, Farzan Khan and Tahir Khan were also especially present.

Shahzad Khan, chairman of Muslim Ekta Manch, who played a key role in the agreement, said, "After the panchayat, a letter signed by prominent people of both the communities. It was handed over to the police station of the area, asking them not to prosecute the accused as a settlement had been reached between the two parties.
The in-charge of Bilaspur police station of the area told Awaz- The Voice, "Without any delay we acted on the complaint, however people of both the communities resolved the dispute amicably. Both had some complaints against each other, which were also resolved on the spot.
Let us tell you that after the incident of Bhaudakalan, there was tension in Gurugram. In view of this, the security of the city was increased during Friday prayers.
