The son of Dr. Shahnawaz Dar, who was killed in the Gagangeer terrorist strike in Ganderbal district on Sunday said his sister was about to get married in a few days when the tragedy struck the family.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the family at Nadigam village in the Budgam district and spent some time with them. He posted this video of his visit on social media.
Later MLA Khansahib Saif-ud-din Bhat who accompanied Omar Abdullah said the chief minister had announced that he would fund the education of the slain doctor’s Son.
In Jammu, tragedy struck the family of Shashi Abdol, the designer for the Z-Morh tunnel who was among the victims. His young wife Ruchi was fasting for his long life on Karwa Chauth when the terrible news about his death came in.
The young daughter of Abrol cried and said, "Terrorists are bad people; they killed my father." Her video has gone viral on social media:

Meanwhile, at several places in Kashmir, locals held protests against the terrorist killings.The Ganderbal Police scotched such rumours ad said these were baseless and nobody had been asked to leave.

Police also posted images of local youth in Ganderbal protesting against civilian killings:

Seven persons were killed when terrorists struck at the construction site of the important tunnel that will eventually link Kashmir with Ladakh.
In Kashmir, the Ganderbal Police scotched such rumours and said these were baseless and nobody had been asked to leave.

Earlier PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti had raised concerns about the locals being asked to leave in her post on social media.
