Indian Muslims for Progress and Reforms (IMPAR) has issued certain guidelines for Muslims to celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr today. It has appealed to the community across the country to observe the spirit of brotherhood and love to promote understanding, peace and social unity on this auspicious occasion.

IMPAR has asked muslims to avoid offering prayers on roads as it causes inconvenience to the general public at large. It has further said, if the gathering to offer namaz is large, small multiple congregations can be formed for the purpose. It has also asked people to ensure there is proper traffic management around places of worship.

To ensure complete peace and social harmony, IMPAR in its guidelines has suggested that people offering prayers at eidgahs and masjids should cooperate with the local administration and police. Further, so as not to inconvenience the public at large use of loudspeakers for Azaan and Khutba should be minimal.

In keeping with the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr, people have been asked to further social harmony by inviting people from other faiths to celebrate the festival.
