Indian ultra runner Sufiya Sufi Khan has set another world record; she completed the run around Qatar, a country in the Gulf region in the shortest time.

Sufiya Sufi Khan is already a three-time Guinness World Record holder.

She completed her first international campaign 'Run Across Qatar', a 200km South to North ultra marathon, in 30 hours and 34 minutes to make her entry into the Guinness book of world records a fourth time.

Her two-day expedition started from Abu Samra on the morning of January 12 and concluded at Zolal Wellness Resort in Al-Ravis on the afternoon of January 13. Apart from breaking the Guinness World Records, Sufiya Sufi Khan aims to raise awareness of healthy lifestyles through physical activities like running. Before the race, she said, "It is my dream to walk around the world, and I am preparing myself to fulfill it.

“I continue to work to push my endurance limits and inspire more people to run.

The 22-year-old Sufiya is known across India for her long-distance challenges. She held the world record for the fastest woman from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 2019, the fastest time by a woman to complete the Golden Quadrilateral Road Run in 2021, and the Manali-Leh Himalayan Ultra in 2022. She set a world record for covering the Run Challenge.

To officially recognize his new achievement, documents from her Qatar expedition will be submitted to the Guinness World Records. Once confirmed, it will be Safiya Khan's fourth Guinness World Records title.
