Aslam Khan, Additional Inspector General of the Goa Police’s post in which she said her father had never enough money to buy her chocolates on her birthday has won her many accolades on social media. Speaking about her life as a child, the IPS officer said the family relatives also turned their backs on them.
Aslam tweeted, "I can never forget the sadness in my father's eyes and also the colours (character) of my relatives that time." Her post has a poster as the image that reads, "When IPS Aslam Khan's father did not have money for chocolates on the occasion of his daughter's birthday.”

Aslam who hails from rural area of the Jaipur district in rajasthan is known as a domineering police officer of the 2007 batch. She is a tough police officer with impeccable credentials, but at the same time she has a soft heart.
The woman IPS officer has given half her salary every month to the family of a Sikh truck driver killed by robbers near Delhi since June 2018, when she did a good deed without any limelight. She is constantly in touch with the family of the driver and is helping his children.

Khan, who was posted as Superintendent of Police (Anti-Corruption) in the Andamans, had arrested eight government officials in October and November 2013 on charges of accepting bribes. He also arrested four officials of the Port Blair Municipal Council in October for procuring electrical goods at exorbitant rates. He then arrested more government employees, including a traffic police sub-inspector, on the same charges.
