The barbaric murder of a tailor in Udaipur by two persons who had gone to his shop as clients has been condemned by Islamic scholars and intellectuals.
According to prof. Akhtarul Wasey, an Islamic scholar and anthor, “this is a very painful and sad incident. Violence is not the solution to any problem.”
He added that Muslims should restrain from reacting to any situation that would lead to disruption of peace and harmony in the country.
Mufti Manzoor Zia, another Islamic scholar also spoke against the grusome murder. He appealed to the government to punish those taking law into their hands.
“Our country is governed by law. No one has the right to take law into their own hands. The rule of law must be upheld”, he said.

Kanhaiyala Teli, a tailor by profession was murdered on Tuesday afternoon over a social media post defending Nupur Sharma, the suspended BJP spokesperson. The murderers made public the video of their act claiming to have avenged the insult of their god.
