The Muslim community in many parts of Maharashtra has decided to put off the ceremonial procession on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, to avoid causing hindrance in the Ganesh Visarjan, the ceremonial immersion of the Ganesh at the end of a 10-day Ganeshostsav.
As it happened in the last two years, this year too Anant Chaturdashi, the final day of the 10-day Ganeshotsav and Eid Milad-un-Nabi falls on the same day.

For two years, the Muslim community of Maharashtra has been generously deciding to put off the ritual of sacrificing an animal on the occasion of bark Eid as it fell on Ashad Amayasya, a festival of local Hindus.
To maintain social harmony and brotherhood, the Hilal Sirat Committee of the Muslim community of Pune has decided to hold the Milad procession on 21 September. The Eid Milad-e-Nabi otherwise falls on 16 September.
This decision is being appreciated everywhere, and the police have also welcomed it.

taking out Hindus will take out the Ganpati immersion procession. In such a situation, it is not possible to take out processions of both the communities at the same time. To maintain peace and unity in the city, the police had requested the Sirat Committee not to proceed with the procession.
A meeting of the officials of the Hilal Sirat Committee was held recently with Police Joint Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma. Committee President Maulana Ghulam Ahmed Qadri and Vice President Maulana Nizamuddin Fakhruddin attended the meeting.
Keeping in mind the request of the police, the Sirat Committee has postponed the procession to be taken out on the occasion of Eid. Now this procession will be taken out on September 21 instead of 16.
According to the decision of the Sirat Committee, the procession will be taken out on September 21. Talking about this, the general secretary of the committee, Rafiuddin Shaikh, said, "This procession will start from Mannu Shah Mosque in Nana Peth at 8 am. This procession will start under the leadership of Maulana Ghulam Ahmed Qadri. After this, the procession will end with prayers after the afternoon namaz at Jama Masjid City."
Syed Moin Miyan, national president of All India Sunni Jamiatul Ulema, said, "Although Eid-e-Milad is on September 16, to maintain peace and harmony, the Muslim community has decided to take out the procession two days later. September 16 is the Prophet's birth anniversary. All programs will be held in homes and mosques on that day. But the procession of Eid-e-Milad will be taken out on September 21."
A meeting was organized in this regard by the Khilafat Committee in Mumbai. Muslim Ulema (religious leaders) and members of various parties were present at this meeting.
After the meeting, AIMIM national spokesperson and former MLA Waris Pathan demanded the state government declare a one-day holiday. Waris Pathan gave information in this regard on X.
Waris Pathan wrote, "A meeting of the Khilafat Committee was held in the presence of religious leaders and leaders of all political parties regarding the procession of Eid-un-Milad. Due to the procession of Ganpati Visarjan and Eid-e-Milad coming at the same time, now the procession of Eid-un-Milad will be taken out on September 18."
In Dhule City, a peace committee meeting was held at the District Planning Hall. In this meeting, the Dhule District Administration requested the Sirat Committee members and the Muslim representatives present that the procession on the day of Eid-e-Milad should be postponed by one or two days to maintain law and order in the backdrop of festivals.
On this, the Muslim community present discussed with the administration and decided to take out the procession of Eid-e-Milad in Dhule city on Thursday, 19 September.

The committee also decided against using DJ in this procession.
The Muslim community is always ready to maintain brotherhood in society, this feeling was visible at this time. This decision was welcomed by District Magistrate Jitendra Papalkar and his team.

To allow smooth Ganesh Visarjan, the Muslim community has decided not to hold the Eid procession and Ganesh visarjan on the same day. The Muslim Jamaat Trust of Pimpalgaon Baswant has also given a memorandum to the Pimpalgaon police station about it.
Likewise, the Muslim community of Belgaum has decided to take out a procession on September 22.
This decision was taken unanimously in a meeting of heads of various Muslim organizations, religious leaders, and members of the Muslim community.
Belgaum North MLA Asif Raju Shet initiated this move in the interest of peace and brotherhood.
In this meeting, Sirat Committee, Anjuman Islam along with MLA Asif Shet, Mufti Manzoor Ahmed Rizvi, Hafiz Nazirullah Khadri, Sardar Ahmed Mushtaq Naeem Ahmed, many religious leaders, and prominent members of the Muslim community were present.
In Nashik City, the Ulema and prominent Muslims decided to ensure the Milad procession and Ganesh Visarjan did not clash. They would soon decide its timing.
