The newly sworn-in ministers of the Rekha Gupta-led Delhi cabinet have pledged to transform the national capital into a 'Viksit Delhi' through comprehensive development initiatives and governance reforms.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa emphasized the responsibility of fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the city. He underscored the urgency of cleaning the Yamuna River and improving air and water quality. "This is a responsibility to implement the vision of PM Modi. We have been given an opportunity to be part of the team to realize his dream of a 'Viksit Dilli'. We must make Delhi happy and new again, ensuring clean water and air," Sirsa told ANI.

Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh echoed this commitment, promising an extensive inspection of the Yamuna River and ensuring it is clean before the next Chhath Puja. "The council of ministers will go for an inspection, and we promise you a clean and beautiful Yamuna in a different form next year," he stated. He also assured that the first cabinet meeting would prioritize development projects aligned with PM Modi’s vision, including environmental and infrastructural improvements.

Newly elected MLA Kapil Mishra called it a "historic day" and reaffirmed that the government would work diligently to implement the PM’s vision for Delhi.

Delhi's new Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, described her appointment as a "miracle" and a "new chapter" in politics, particularly for women. Speaking to the media, she vowed to hold corrupt individuals accountable. "If I can be the CM, this means opportunities are open for all women. Anyone involved in corruption will have to answer for every rupee misused," she declared.

Gupta expressed gratitude to the BJP high command for entrusting her with governance responsibilities. "I thank PM Modi and BJP leadership for their faith in me. My primary focus will be fulfilling our party’s commitments, and all 48 MLAs will work as a team under Modi’s leadership," she affirmed.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hailed the swearing-in of the new BJP government in Delhi as the beginning of a "new era." He predicted unprecedented development and governance efficiency under the new leadership. "We are going to see a different Delhi. It will not only be a smooth tenure but one of extraordinary performance. Every citizen of this country will be proud of it," Naidu stated. He criticized the governance of the past decade and expressed optimism for Delhi’s future.

Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal extended her greetings to Rekha Gupta, expressing hope that she would meet the expectations of Delhi’s citizens.

Rekha Gupta was sworn in as Delhi’s Chief Minister in a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, with Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena administering the oath. Alongside her, six other ministers, including Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh, also took their oaths.

The event was attended by top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Chief Ministers and senior leaders from neighboring states, such as Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Goa CM Pramod Sawant, were also present.
