The no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi was defeated by voice vote after the members of the Opposition staged a walkout. 

Most of the Opposition members were outside the parliament when the speaker asked for a vote Opposition's no-confidence motion was beatenby voice vote

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha today in response to the Opposition's no-confidence motion against the NDA government.

The opposition moved a no-confidence motion against the government on  26th of July and that was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi initiated the debate on the no-confidence motion

The Parliament was getting adjourned since the beginning of the Monsoon Session that started on 20th July over a number of issues, including the violence in Manipur,

Speaking on the Manipur issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government was ready to discuss it but the Opposition disrupted that intentionally. PM blamed the Opposition for indulging into dirty politics in order to achieve the political power.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was suspended from Lok Sabha after a resolution moved by BJP leader Pralhad Joshi was accepted. He willremain suspended until the Privileges Committee submits its report against him.
