Retired civil servant SM Khan presented his book APJ Abdul Kalam: Jan Gan ke Rashtrapati (APJ Abdul Kalam, People President) based on his experiences of working with the former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, to the Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
The book in the Hindi language is authored by the former Press secretary of Dr. Kalam, also known as India’s missile man and Peoples’ President.
Khan had been closely associated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam during his tenure in the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
During the meeting, he briefed the Vice President on the activities of India Islamic Cultural Center and Jamia Hamdard.
During the meeting, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said that there should not be a single incident in the country that would affect communal harmony. All institutions must work together to maintain goodwill in the country. He said that efforts should be made to maintain the cooperation of like-minded people to prevent such incidents.
The Vice President said this during a meeting with Alumni of Aligarh Muslim University.

Naidu said that all the institutions should work for maintaining harmony in society. It should also be noted that the sensible elements representing different communities and groups in public forums maintain the secular fabric of the country.
