Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad, who allegedly hacked tailor Kanhaiya Lal to death in Udaipur, have been taken into custody by the National Investigation Agency(NIA) on Saturday.
The NIA will take them to a special court in Jaipur and is likely to seek their custodial remand for 14 days. Along with Akhtari and Mohammad, the other two accused, Mohsin and Asif will also be produced before the court. Both were picked up by the Rajasthan Police on Thursday night. They have been charged with providing logistical support to the main accused.
It is believed the two accused were in touch with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The gruesome act of their hacking to death Kanhaiya Lal inside his tailoring shop was recorded at the behest of a Pakistani handler claiming it to be revenge for insulting Islam. Later, they posted the video on social media to enable terrorist organisations across the world to access it.
In the viral video, one of the two accused could be heard saying: "I will make the video viral when I accomplish my goal to teach a lesson to the accused who has shown disrespect to our God."
It is alleged that Ghouse was in touch with nine Pakistani nationals having terrorist backgrounds. He received a number of calls from Pakistan during the murder. His Pakistani handler had given him more terrorist tasks to accomplish.
