Maulana Mohammed Wali Rahmani, general secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, has taken ill and is admitted to the Intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in Patna.

He was admitted to the hospital three days ago and there is no improvement in his condition and it’s a source of worry for people.

Wali Rahmani is also head of Imarat-e-sharia of Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand. This position gives him the status of Grand Mufti who is authorized to announce the sighting of the Moon for various Islamic festivals to be held.

The Imarat-e-sharia or Personal law Board have not made any statement about his health condition.

There is an appeal to people to pray for his health on Twitter.

Sources say that he had taken the jab of Corona vaccine a week ago. However, it would be mere speculation to link his health condition to the vaccine.

Meanwhile, Maulana Umaran Mahfuz Rahmani has tweeted and appealed to the people to pray for his health. He has written in his tweet - "There is no doubt that he is the invaluable mastermind of Muslim people."

This tweet has been retweeted many a time and those responding have offered prayers for Wali Rahmani and described his contribution to Islam.”
