Wali Rehmani passes away

Maulana Mohammed Wali Rehmani, general secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, died in a hospital here today. He was 77.
He was admitted to a private hospital last week after he complained of ill health. Doctors attending him on had not noticed improvement in his health all these days.
Wali Rehmani, was the head of Imarat-e-sharia of Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand. This position gave him the status of Grand Mufti, authorized to announce the sighting of the Moon for various Islamic festivals.
His death was announced by the AIMPLB on Twitter:

Maulana Rehmani had taken a jab of Corona vaccine before falling sick
