We all know Allah plans best, and what He has in store for us is better than all our Dreams put together.

“Maybe I’m not good enough”

“Maybe I’m a bad slave”

“Maybe I have too many sins” or even worse,

“Maybe Allah does not love me; I think He’s angry at me”

Friday Musings

This is what we often whisper to ourselves when we do not find our prayers fulfilled or if any of our tasks remain incomplete. It is simple to exalt and worship Allah when things are going well, but it might be difficult to accept what Allah has decided when things are difficult and your dreams do not come true though it is nothing to be embarrassed of.

We all experience times of low ‘imaan’ when no ‘khutbah’ can cheer us up, when even offering the fard (mandatory) prayers becomes challenging, and when no number of

comforting words from friends, relatives, or strangers can elevate our spirits.

So how do we reinforce this powerful statement of “Allah is the best of planners” in our minds and hearts in times of difficulty and hardship?

 Do not ever assume that you must deal with the hardships and difficulties of this world all by yourself. For every step that you take to carry on with faith and patience even when the world is crumbling under your feet, know that Allah is stacking up your book with good deeds beyond measure.

 We should keep moving forward by praying more fervently than we have, reading more Quran, getting closer to Allah through His words like never before, seeking loads of forgiveness, and giving in charity. It is these little things that turn into mountains of good deeds on the Day of Judgment… and on that day, none of these roadblocks will matter, only your relationship with Allah and your deeds will matter.

 We should ask Him to guide our heart to what it wants. Ask Him to guide us to happiness, ease, peace, and love that will make our hearts flutter with. His remembrance every second it beats. We should tell Him we don’t even know what to tell and ask Him to inspire our hearts because He can place those whispers in our hearts and answer them for us. Because He is Al Mujeeb, the one who responds to every single dua we make, Who despairs of His mercy!?

 When we remind ourselves who the real Master and Planner are, it becomes easy to accept life’s twists and turns, knowing full well that we are only here to please Him even when something displeases us. So, when things do not go as planned, it is the perfect time to remind ourselves that we are not in control, it is Allah who controls every breath of our life.

“And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.” (Al-Anfal : 30)
