The first batch of Indian pilgrims was accorded a warm welcome at Madinah Airport by Ambassador Dr Suhel Khan and Consul General Fahad Suri. They were joined by Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Prof. Abdulaziz A. Wazzan and senior Saudi officials.

Indian Ambassador Dr. Suhail Ijaz Khan, Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, and Team India, overseeing Hajj arrangements for Indians, extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims who were departing for the holy journey.
Earlier, ahead of the first Hajj flight from India, the Ministry of Minority Affairs extended its best wishes to all pilgrims for a safe, blessed, and spiritually rewarding journey for Hajj 2025.

This year, 1,22,518 pilgrims will leave for the holy pilgrimage. Hajj flights began today, with 288 pilgrims departing from Lucknow and 262 from Hyderabad on the first Hajj flights. Heartfelt prayers and best wishes to all 1,22,518 pilgrims on the occasion of the commencement of Hajj 2025.
