Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Buaijan made an elaborate speech on the last day of the Jamiat-e-Ahle Hadith conference in Delhi before thousands of members of the organization and the common people who had come to listen to the cleric of one of the most revered shrines of Islam.
He also led the Maghrib and Isha prayers at the conference and spoke on issues such as humanity, peace, and religion.
Dr. Adullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Baijan was speaking on the last day of the "Respect for Humanity and Religions of the World" conference organized by the Central Jamiat Ahle Hadith of India on the occasion of its 35 annual conference.
Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Buaijan described the teachings of Islam as a symbol of peace and harmony and said Muslims are duty-bound to present the right image of their religion to the world.
He called upon everyone to play their role in promoting the development, peace, and brotherhood of their respective countries.
Citing the example of the agreement made at the time of Prophet Muhammad, Maulana Meraj Rabbani said, "We should have an attitude of respect,s and contribute to prosperity and co-existence towards our respective countries."
He asked Indian Muslims to spread peace among people of different religions, form peace committees in localities, and work in cooperation with the police.
President of All India Imam Organization Umair Ilyasi praised the Jamiat for issuing a collective fatwa against terrorism. He said that Islam teaches to protect the lives of the innocent. He said that terrorism is not a part of Islam.
Maulana Jarjis Siraji said that justice and fairness are the basis of Islam. He said that peace can be established only when there is justice. Expressing concern over the Palestine-Israel conflict, he said the warring sides should follow the rules of war as enunciated by Prophet Muhammad.
Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahdi Salafi, President of the conference, said that the history of Islam teaches religious tolerance and respect for humanity.
The occasion also saw non-Islamic religious leaders sharing the dais with Islamic leaders.
Jain leader Acharya Vivek Muni spoke about the contribution of religion to the upliftment of humanity.
Buddhist religious leader Acharya Yeshipanth Shukla appealed to people of all religions to work together for peace. Sanatan religious leader Acharya Sushil Mani said India can be made strong and stable by following religious values.
Amir Hafiz Abdul Wahid Nazim of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Tamil Nadu Pondicherry and other speakers gave the message of serving the poor, respecting parents, and adopting the general teachings of religion.
The two-day conference concluded with thanks given by Haryana Jamiat-e-Ahle Hadith President Dr. Isa Khan.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind's chief Engineer Syed Saadatullah Al-Hussaini, and religious leaders and representatives from various states also addressed the conference.
