The wedding ceremonies of Yunus Pervez Ansari, and Saurabh Chakraborty, under one roof and the common banner,were not only a milestone in the lives of two young men from the city known for the coaching industry, but also a commemoration of the bond their fathers had forged four decades ago.
The sons of close friends Abdul Rauf Ansari and Vishwajeet Chakraborty, residents of Janakpuri Mala Road, Kota, Rajasthan got married in different religious ceremonies from April 17 to 19. Reception for the newlyweds – Yunus Pervez Ansari and Farheen, and Saurabh Chakraborty and Shreshta Rai, was held under one roof on April 19.
The couples shared a stage as the awestruck guests from both families congratulated them. As the Chakarbortys and Ansaris posed for pictures with their sons and daughters-in-law, they looked one perfect happy family.
Ansari and Chakarbortys have been close friends for four decades. Their houses are next to each other at Janakpuri Mala Road, Kota; Abdul Rauf and Vishwajeet are partners in the property business. Above all despite being from different religions, their bond only matured into a fraternal relationship over the decades.
Both parents decided to take their friendship to the next level by jointly organizing the weddings of their children.
The much-awaited weddings — a vivah as per Hindu ritual and an Islamic Nikah – was a unique and fascinating experience for guests from both families. Most importantly, the celebrations symbolized true friendship and human bond.

On April 17, Yunus Parvez Ansari's Nikah was performed with Farheen Ansari after Isha Namaaz.
The next day, Saurabh Chakraborty tied the knot with Shrestha Rai, as per Hindu rituals, at the same venue.
To share their joy and to introduce their daughters-in-law to their friends and relatives, the Chakarbortys and Ansari threw a joint reception aptly named 'Dawat-e-Khushi ' in which people from every religion, class, and community participated.
The invitation card for this unique wedding was equally special.Vishwajeet and Madhu Chakraborty invited and received the guests at Yunus-Farheen Nikah, while Abdul Rauf and Ajijan Ansari did the same for the Saurabh-Shrestha wedding.
This emotional partnership does not limit the event to mere rituals but it becomes a celebration of emotional unity and shared culture.

The friendship of Abdul Rauf Ansari and Vishwajit Chakraborty started in Masjid Gali of the Station area, where they were neighbours.
Over time, the relationship deepened and they entered into a partnership in property dealing. They built houses next to each other on Janakpuri Mala Road.
Their sons Yunus and Saurabh have maintained mutual understanding and brotherhood.
Both of them planned their weddings together and said, "Religion never became a wall between us. This event was a shared celebration of tradition and love."
Saurabh Chakraborty, whose family is originally from Bengal and has now settled in Kota, runs a medicine distribution business. Yunus Parvez Ansari works in the IT sector.
Saurabh says, "We wanted all our relatives to join us and share our happiness. Instead of organising separate events, we decided to celebrate together." Yunus also believes that this event has not only strengthened family relationships but also sent a positive message to society.

On April 19, a joint reception was held at a luxurious resort in Kala Talab where both the families welcomed the guests. Adorned with traditional food, music, and cultural performances, the evening left a message of harmony in the hearts of all the attendees.
