Kerala boy Razin to play for Saudi club which has Ronaldo as goalkeeper

Mohammed Razin P, a 12-year-old Footballer from Mallapuram, Kerala has been selected for Al Nassr Football Club of Saudi Arabia, one of the biggest and richest football clubs in the world and for whom Cristiano Ronaldo plays.

This was announced by Ranjit Bajaj, owner of the country's renowned football club Minerva Academy Football and Cricket Club, on Instagram. He wrote “Mohammed RAZIN P from Mallapuraam and gods own country Kerala - a @minervapunjabfc World Cup batch boy who has been selected by @alnassr @al_nassr_live_kerala_ fc for their junior team - shows if you follow your dreams and work hard sky is the limit…all the very best Razin go rock it and make us even more proud”

He said, “he was so happy and proud for his family especially his dad who worked so hard for this day”

Born in 2012 in Saudi Arabia, Razin has become the first Indian footballer to be selected for this team.

Al Nassr will pay Mohammad Razin a hefty amount and provide him with all the basic facilities like accommodation, food, coaching, and education.

Razin was a Goalkeeper in the under-14 Kerala team and played for Minerva Academy Football and Cricket Club.

Razin was spotted by Ranjit Bajaj. While registering his reaction to this big event in the world of football in India, he said- "Minwar Football Club runs a campaign every year in every corner of the country to find and polish talented players. It was in 20022 that he and his coach Hussain went to Mallapuram in Kerala in this connection. They have this diamond in their hands."

According to the website of the All India Football Federation, then this child player from Mallapuram used to play as a goalkeeper for Gokulam Kerala Football Club registered with Kerala Football Association.

Ranjit Bajaj, a former player founded Minerva Academy Football and Cricket Club in 2005. This club is a part of the Super League of Football and is also known as a 'talent machine'.

Razin's talent was recognized about two years and soon he was playing big matches for Minerva."

It is noteworthy that about six months ago, Razim had appeared in the trials of the Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr for selection of its junior team Under-14.

Razin P is very happy with this success. He says that it was his dream to see the 'God of Football' like Ronaldo closely. He would not only be able to see him closely, he would also get a chance to learn from him and play with him."

With the selection for Al Nassr, Mohammad Razin P left for Saudi Arabia. Though Razin lives in Mallapuram, he was born in Saudi Arabia where his father works. He is currently living with his father.

Footballer Dheeraj Dhruv says, "There is a myth that players from our country are not fit for international matches. That is why they are not able to play professional football abroad. Mohammad Razin P's selection for Al Nassr breaks this myth." He also agrees with Ranjit Bajaj's statement that if talent is recognized and nurtured in time, then a person from our country can conquer any fort.

Al Nassr Football Club is a successful football club in Saudi Arabia, which was founded in 1955 by the Al-Jabaa brothers. This club plays its home matches in Al-Awwal Park. The colour of the club's jersey is yellow and blue.

Al Nassr has won 9 Pro League titles, six King's Cups, three Crown Prince Cups, three Federation Cups, and two Saudi Super Cups at the domestic level.

In 1998, Al Nassr won both the Asian Cup Winners Cup and the Asian Super Cup.
