Paris 2024 Olympics: Veteran TT star Sharath Kamal named as flagbearer
The idea for this unique collaboration was inspired by Sharath's role as the flag bearer for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, alongside P.V. Sindhu. Artkala sought to merge athleticism and creativity, crafting something that would inspire both sports and art enthusiasts across India.
The session took place at Meta studio, where Sharath faced the unconventional challenge of painting a white tennis ball. This task showcased his optimistic enthusiasm and strong resolve.
During the session, Sharath answered thought-provoking questions:
- Inspiration for table tennis: "I didn't choose table tennis; table tennis chose me." he said.
- Balancing personal and professional life: "It's very tough to manage both, but I've received a lot of support from my family."
- Advice to youngsters: "Set high goals for yourself because pushing our limits helps us believe in our abilities."
This collaboration bridged the gap between sports and art, highlighting the potential of blending creativity and athleticism. Sharath Kamal's transition from sports to artistic expression demonstrated that passion and dedication are vital in all disciplines.
