Indian badminton sensation and Olympic medalist PV Sindhu is all set to get married this month in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding celebrations will begin on December 20, followed by a grand reception in Hyderabad. Sindhu plans to resume her rigorous training schedule soon after the ceremonies, as she gears up for an important season ahead.

The big question on everyone’s mind is: Who is PV Sindhu's fiancé? Known for keeping her personal life private, Sindhu’s engagement has taken many by surprise. Her future husband, Venkat Dutta, is the Executive Director at Sai Posidex Technology.

Venkat Dutta has an impressive academic background, with a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education. He holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from FLAME University (2018) and a Master's in Data Science and Machine Learning from IIIT Bangalore.

Professionally, Venkat has worked as a summer intern and in-house consultant at JSW. Since 2019, he has been serving as Managing Director of Sour Apple Asset Management while simultaneously holding the position of Executive Director at Poseidex Technology.

According to Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, “Both families have known each other for some time, but the marriage was finalized only a month ago. This was the best time for the wedding as Sindhu’s schedule will get very busy from January onwards.”

PV Sindhu remains a trailblazer in Indian sports. She is the first and only Indian to win a gold medal at the BWF World Championships (2019) and the second Indian individual athlete to win two consecutive Olympic medals.

  • Rio Olympics 2016: Silver medal – First Indian badminton player to reach an Olympic final.
  • Tokyo Olympics 2020: Bronze medal.
  • World Championships: Five medals, making her one of only two women in history to achieve this feat in singles.
