India is the Chess champion with both the Men and Women’s teams winning gold in 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad held in Budapest, Hungry.
The men’s team comprising Gukesh D, Praggnanandhaa R, Arjun Erigaisi, Vidit Gujrathi, Pentala Harikrishna and Srinath Narayanan (Captain) had sealed the gold after defeating the USA on Saturday.

The women’s team comprising Harika Dronavalli, Vaishali Rameshbabu, Divya Deshmukh, Vantika Agrawal, Tania Sachdev and Abhijit Kunte (Captain) beat Azerbaijan to clinch Gold at the Olympiad.
