French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherina Colonna held talks with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on regional and global security issues, on the first day of her two day visit to India
According to the French embassy in New Delhi, this is also Catherina Colonna's first bilateral visit in Asia from the time she has assumed office. She has engagements in New Delhi and Mumbai.
The French Ambasador to India Emannuel Lenin tweeted that the French Minister for Eutrope and Foreign Affairs held talks with NSA Doval on regional and global security issues, including our close counter terrorism cooperaton. She highlighted the commitment of France to continue as India's foremost partmer in its path towards strategic autonomy.

The French embassy in New Delhi said that the aim of Minister Colonna's viist is to move forwared with an ambitous agenda to deepen and expamd the India-France strategic partnership ahead of its 25th anniversary next year.
The visit also demonstrates the unwavering commitment of France to the Indo-Pacific and determination to work with India to find common solutions to global disorders.
While announcing Colonna's visit, the French embassy had mentioned that she would be meeting NSA, Ajit Doval, for discussions on regional and global security issues, strengthened defence cooperation, as well as implementation of France's counter-terrorism cooperation with India, which is hosting this year the 'No Money for Terror' conference.
