Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, national president of All India Muslim Jamaat, has condemned the arrest of Bangladesh ISCKON Priest Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari on charges of sedition.

The seer has been at the forefront of organizing the Hindus of Bangladesh against the radical forces who have been targetting minorities ever since Muhammad Yunus government took charge in Dhaka.

Chinmoy Krishna Das is also the spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaran Mancha and head of Pundarik Dham in Chittagong.

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has appealed to the interim government of Bangladesh and the Indian government to intervene in the situation to end atrocities being committed against minorities there.

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi demanded that the Bangladesh government immediately release Chinmay Das. The Indian government should intervene to prevent atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh.

He said this chaotic situation has erupted since former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's removal from power and her flight to India. As soon as Mohammad Yunus came into power, the Islamic extremists started targeting minorities.

Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested at the Dhaka airport as he was boarding a flight to Chittagong. “Muslims of India are worried about his arrest.” Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi said.

He asked the Yunus government to ensure the safety of Minorities and bring the perpetrators of violence against them to justice.

He asked the governments of Bangladesh and India to intervene.

On the other hand, India's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday expressing deep concern over the arrest of Chinmay Das and not granting him bail. Along with this, Bangladesh has been urged to ensure the safety of all minorities.

People of the Hindu community took to the streets of Dhaka against the arrest of the seer.

In Bangladesh, persecution of Hindus continues unabated. The number of Hindu minorities has decreased from 8 percent to one percent.

This arrest is unjust. National and international courts should take action to protect religious freedom."

Former head of the Aechaeological Survey of India K K Muhammad has

Spiritual leader Sadguru Jaggi posted the following mssage in support of the ISCkon leader:

Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar asked the Bangladesh government to immediately release the ISCKON leader for he was not insisting people for violence but only organizing them in self-defense. He said Bangladeshi Hindus are not using weapons but seek their right to protest peacefully.
