Atleast 124 people have been killed and thousands of houses damaged due to severe floods that have hit the Balochistan province in Pakistan.
Severe rains have destroyed bridges, breached dams and washed away roads in what is considered one of the poorest provinces of the country.
Barely a few weeks back, Balochistan was reeling under a severe drought with widespread diarrhoea and deaths due to the shortage of drinking water.
The intense rains and floods prompted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit the province to review rescue and relief operations.
The Pak government has announced Rs one million compensation for families of people killed and Rs five lakh for people whose houses were completely destroyed.
