In a shocking turn of events, an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has sent ripples across the globe, prompting reactions from world leaders who took to social media to express their concerns and well-wishes.

President Joe Biden condemned the act of violence and called for unity. He took to X, "We must stand together against violence and division. Praying for the safety and well-being of former President Trump and his family."

Former Prime Minister of UK, Boris Johnson also shared his thoughts, emphasizing the importance of democracy. He wrote on X, "It is a miracle that Donald Trump escaped an attempted assassination. As we give thanks for his safety we are reminded once again of the tragic fragility of democracy in the face of violence and unreason. Our thoughts are with the president and the Trump family."

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his support, highlighting the need for peace and posted on X, "Deeply concerned by the attack on my friend, former President Donald Trump. Strongly condemn the incident. Violence has no place in politics and democracies. Wish him speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased, those injured and the American people."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared his thoughts on X, "I’m sickened by the shooting at former President Trump. It cannot be overstated — political violence is never acceptable. My thoughts are with former President Trump, those at the event, and all Americans."

French President Emmanuel Macron highlighted the importance of maintaining democratic values on X and posted, "My thoughts are with President Donald Trump, the victim of an assassination attempt. I send him my wishes for a speedy recovery. A spectator has died, several are injured. It is a tragedy for our democracies. France shares the shock and indignation of the American people."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended his support and prayers. He posted on X,"Sara and I were shocked by the apparent attack on President Trump. We pray for his safety and speedy recovery."

Former President of USA, Barack Obama expressed his thoughts on violence and democracy on X, "There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics. Michelle and I are wishing him a quick recovery."
