Tabeen Muzaffar Wage from Pulwama, south Kashmir, has been selected for the 'Open Thai International Boxing Championship scheduled to be held from 12 to 14 August in Sharjah and Dubai cities of the United Arab Emirates.
 
It is worth noting that this junior boxer will also play in the Delhi Open Mixed Martial Arts Championship to be held in Dwarka, New Delhi from July 29 to 31 this month.
 
Tabeen Muzaffar hails from Kadalbal area of ​​Pampore. Tabeen will be part of the J&K team.
He said that I am the first athlete from the Pulwama district who has been selected for the Open International Thai Boxing Championship in Dubai for the junior category.

Tabeen is excited to be selected for two prestigious events simultaneously.
 
He is a Class tenth student at Delhi Modern Public School, Pampore. He has been learning martial arts since childhood.
 
His coach Sajjad Ahmed Bhat runs a boxing academy in Pampore and that is where Tabeen has received training.

He profusely thanked his coach for training him and initiating him in this sport. He also said it was the efforts of his guide that saw him getting selected for the International Championship. Tabeen has so far won two gold medals at the district level and two at the national level.
 
He has also played in the Federation Cup where he won a bronze medal. After qualifying trials, they have been selected for national and international level competitions two days back.
He said he is aiming to win gold. Tabeen said that his parents and siblings always supported him. There is an atmosphere of happiness among Tabeen's family, relatives, and people of the area on being selected in this most important competition.

Apart from this many of his relatives, friends and neighbors are coming to his house in large numbers to congratulate him.
