The Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest spiritual and religious congregation picks pace at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the inherent unity of Indians is also come to the fore.

Shara Khan, a student of class IX hailing from Daraganj town on outskirts of Prayagraj, was shown painting the mural on the walls in public placed by a local content creator fro  Prayagraj.

Shara Khan is seen telling the reporter that she has been busy painting the long abandoned walls of Maha Kumbh for a long time. She is creating a long artwork. Sara says though she is not a trained painting she like to serve her city.

She is accompanied by Pingla who is studying to be graduate at Allahabad University, says, it’s proud moment for them to be contribute to changing the city scape to welcome tourists and pilgrims for Mahakumbh.

The murals depicting scene from Hindu mythology and epics like Ramayana adorn the city of Prayagraj, where 45 crore people are expected to take a dip at the holy confluence of the ganga, Yamuna and the mystical Swaraswati at Sangam Triveni in 45 days.

To give a beautiful look to the stations in and around Prayagraj during Kumbh-2025, the railway stations have been transformed into beautiful centers with murals inspired by Hindu mythology.

According to these students who were involved in the mural making, the themes have been chosen to provide vibrant and mythological reflections like Ramayana, Krishna Leela, Lord Buddha, Shiv Bhakti, Ganga Aarti and Women Empowerment to bring alive the cultural and spiritual heritage of the city and welcome pilgrims with a lively narrative of faith and tradition.

The artworks reflect the deep-rooted traditions of the city, including Rishi traditions, Guru-disciple lineage, and a harmonious blend of wisdom and renunciation, offering visitors a glimpse of its timeless essence. 

These Muslim girls are spreading the message of unity and harmony in the Maha Kumbh Mela by actively participating in it. Thus they are not mere girls with brush and paint but communicators of innate mutual respect, love and tolerance.
