Zeenat Parveen, daughter of a vegetable vendor, has topped in 12th class in the State of Jharkhand the result of which was declared by the Jharkhand Academic Council declared on Monday.
Zeenat says, "I study in a government school. I scored 94.40% marks from Arts stream. My teacher told me that I am a state topper...I want to prepare for UPSC."
Zeenat studied in the Government School, Kanke, about 12 km from capital Ranchi.
Zeenat said that within two hours of the declaration of the result, her school teacher informed her that she is the state topper, she could not believe it.
Zeenat is a resident of the Sataknadu village close to her school.
She said she neither uses social media nor sees television to focus on her studies. “Nothing distracts me for I know that I have to focus on my studies and do well in examination,” she said.

Zeenat said she revised the syllabi several times and attempet mock tests, as a result of which she has become a topper.
Zeenat said though she was sure that she will score good marks but never imagined to be a State topper.
My parents work hard to support me in my studies. I want to work hard and make them happy,” Zeenat said. She wants to become an IAS officer.
Her father Sabir Ansari said her daughter’s result has given a meaning to his struggle and he would ensure that she studies as much as she wants.
Sabir Ansari said he sells vegetables on a pushcart in his village to make ends meet.
